Image Maurizio Cutolo

Prof. Maurizio Cutolo is Professor of Rheumatology and Internal Medicine at the University of Genova, Italy, where he directs the Laboratory of Experimental Rheumatology and serves as Senior Consultant of the Academic Division of Clinical Rheumatology, University of Genova, Italy. He is former President of the European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) and Chairman of the International League of Associations for Rheumatology (ILAR).  He is also Chairman of the Scientific Commission of the Italian Society for Rheumatology (SIR), Advisor of the EULAR School of Rheumatology Education Committee (EsOR) and International Adviser of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR).  He was awarded ACR Master (MACR in 2024) and got the exclusive award for Meritorious Service in Rheumatology (EULAR) in 2025. He also contributes to European networks on rare and complex connective tissue diseases and serves on editorial boards of leading  scientific journals, including Neuroimmunomodulation.
